Urgent Care

Precaution and Education = Key to Leading a Healthy and Successful Life

Although most conditions are rare, heart conditions often can go undetected, that is why during a sports physical we examine the heart function and strength extensively. We want to make sure everything is functioning optimally before children begin any form of strenuous exercise that may trigger a cardiac event. Heart condition screening is a standard protocol as part of the sports physical that can help prevent such events from occurring.

This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and discuss any social or health obstacles that your child may be experiencing to maintain good health.

Physicians are able to make recommendations and provide a complete treatment plan to help manage or prevent any disease from occurring. Physicians can also provide counselling for diet modification and exercise

Many leading causes of death including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, may play a role in predisposition to developing these diseases, however, all of these diseases are very much preventable and manageable for most people. Preventative care including leading a healthy lifestyle can ultimately prevent or lower the risk of development of such illnesses.
